The system context
Enterprise search involves connecting organizational data sources and working within authentication constraints. This note covers the wider product engineering context behind the Legacy Frontend Modernization case study.
What I contributed
- Apache Solr search work, enterprise data-source integration and authentication integration.
- Frontend and backend implementation, including Kotlin, Java and TypeScript.
- Search-performance investigation, bug and log investigation, testing and release support.
Production work and retrieval validation
The search work was part of a running product. The broader role also included RAG-related validation. These are distinct activities: production search delivery and evaluation work around retrieval-augmented generation.
